Hello and welcome to Teachandreflect “2.0”!

I am posting here for the first time in seven years following one helluva learning ride.

In 2010, I wrote that I was hoping to expand this blog to serve as my “all-powerful planning, reflection and research centre for teaching”. Many of you might not be surprised to hear this, but guess what – the blog stopped when the teaching started! It’s taken me all of this time to recover from so many challenges: the first three years of teaching (!); losing memory of two of those years thanks to a brain injury; and perhaps the biggest and most rewarding challenge of all – becoming a new Dad 🙂

Learning from each of these life chapters has helped me re-establish my own passion for learning. I now also believe once more that I have something useful to contribute for educators world-wide. My key areas of further learning have been:

Hopefully there be something in there for you all. I said it seven years ago, but I now believe even more in the collaborative benefits of blogs, so I’ll appreciate any constructive feedback that you might have to offer. Once again, I’m looking forward to sharing ideas with you!
